THCAT is supporting this Youth Open Day on Saturday 26 May from 11-3.00pm at St Paul’s Church and we hope you will spread the word amongst families with 11-18 year olds. Also, if you are able to help us on THCAT’s stall for an hour or so please let us know. Many thanks!
As people committed to Thornton Heath, you’ll be aware of the rise in youth violence in our community. We want to take action to help put a stop to this by working with young people, their families and Thornton Heath residents. That’s why we’ve created the Thornton Heath Youth Open Day - to bring together the people who can shape the change.
Designed to give young people and their families the opportunity to learn about the activities and support available to youth in the local area, the Thornton Heath Youth Open Day is a local, grassroots response to what’s happening in our community. In order for it to be a success, we need your support!
Help us spread the word about the Thornton Heath Youth Open Day by sharing our Eventbrite page https://thyouth.eventbrite.com, our Facebook event and/or distributing the fliers attached. Encourage and inspire our young people living in Thornton Heath to take action and stand against youth violence by attending the Youth Open Day, where they can have a voice and make plans to tackle this important issue.
At the event, attendees will have the opportunity to discover local youth groups offering great services, they'll hear from local community service leaders about the plans to tackle youth violence in Croydon and they'll work with like-minded young people to put in their ideas towards creating a safer Thornton Heath.
If you would like more information, flyers or other marketing materials, please get in touch, and don't forget to sign up on the Eventbrite page. Let's spread the word and help to tackle youth violence and knife crime.
We look forward to hearing from you.
