At our AGM we appointed a number of committee members to act as ambassadors to tackle reoccurring issues in Thornton Heath.
One of the initiatives we will be pursuing is to tackle the issue of graffiti. Since the council shut the graffiti removal service, there has been a massive increase in graffiti in and around the High Street, Brigstock, Whitehorse and Beulah Roads, but also on lampposts and walls on residential streets.
The council is now only removing offensive graffiti.
We don’t think that’s good enough and THCAT is aiming to work alongside the police, businesses and where possible engage with those responsible to work together to come up with a solution.
What we really need to do first is to document the graffiti. We have set up this google photo album where you can upload your pictures and log the details of where it is located.
Please help us to change the story for Thornton Heath.
