Gardening Club: Spring bulb planting

It’s Spring bulb planting time!
We’re looking for helpers and bulb donations this month. As it’s a windy spot, shorter flowering bulbs would be ideal.

What is Gardening Club?
On the first Saturday of each month, Linda, our Ambassador for Green and Sustainable Living, and other lovely local volunteers, meet at the Ambassador House forecourt (opposite Thornton Heath train station) to tend to the planters with some planting, pruning, weeding, watering and litter picking.

Why help out?
Aside from helping to make the area lovely for all, it’s a great opportunity for making new friends locally, and, even if you can only spare 20 minutes, the support is hugely appreciated.

Who can join in?
Everyone is most welcome and absolutely no experience is necessary. Just bring a pair of gloves if you can, and head over to the planters for sometime between 1-3pm.

Accessibility
There is wheelchair access to Ambassador House forecourt, and raised beds with inbuilt seating which may be useful to those with mobility issues.
